Signature WH100R Electric Water Heater, 100 Litres, 1500W, White

A very large tank for big families

A 100 litre tank is a very large size for a home. It generally suits a big joint family, or a house where one tank serves several bathrooms and the kitchen through the day. If several people bathe in a row, a bigger tank gives more margin; if hot water is only needed at one tap, a smaller one is easier to keep warm.

What 1500W means on your electricity bill

The element is rated at 1500W, which works out to about 1.5 units (kWh) of electricity for every hour it runs. Your bill depends on how long the element is on each day, so heating once before the morning rush usually costs less than leaving it switched on all day. During load-shedding, remember that 1500W is a heavy load for most home UPS units, so check your inverter capacity before wiring it onto backup power. Use a properly earthed socket or dedicated circuit of suitable rating.
