Where a 10 Litre REH10 Makes Sense

A 10 litre tank is not meant for a whole house. It works best fitted close to one tap, such as the kitchen sink for washing dishes in winter, or a washbasin used for wudu, so warm water arrives quickly without running a long pipe from a main geyser. Its small size also makes it easier to place where wall space is limited.

Power Use and Backup for the REH10

With a 1000W element, the REH10 uses about 1 unit (kWh) for every hour the element is switched on. A 1000W load is lighter than most electric geysers, which helps if you plan to run it on a home UPS or solar inverter, but check its rated output first. During load-shedding it cannot heat, so switch it on once supply returns.
